Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy
A plain-language explanation of recurring billing, cancellation, failed payments, Hibernate, refunds, and workspace retention.
1. Plans and recurring billing
RacerIntel paid plans are workspace subscriptions billed monthly or yearly. Annual billing reflects a 15% savings compared with 12 monthly payments at the displayed monthly rate. Prices are displayed in USD; taxes and the amount charged in local currency may depend on billing location and the options shown by Paddle at checkout.
A subscription automatically renews for the same billing term unless the Team Owner cancels renewal before the renewal date. Paddle is the Merchant of Record and handles payment collection, taxes, receipts, invoices, and stored payment methods.
For annual and other renewal terms longer than 60 days, RacerIntel will provide the advance renewal notice required by applicable law. The operational notice path must pass launch acceptance before paid checkout is enabled.
2. Free trial
- The Essentials trial lasts 14 days and requires no payment method.
- Trial eligibility is limited to one trial per verified Team Owner identity.
- The trial includes Essentials capacity and collaboration; paid add-ons do not increase trial limits.
- Choosing a paid plan ends the trial immediately and begins paid access immediately.
- If no plan is purchased, the workspace becomes owner-only and read-only at expiration.
3. Cancellation
The Team Owner can cancel renewal through Paddle from RacerIntel Account Billing. Cancellation stops the next renewal; paid access continues through the end of the current monthly or annual term. Canceling an annual plan does not convert it to monthly billing or create a prorated refund.
We will display the effective cancellation date before confirmation and send notices required by applicable law. Contact support@racerintel.com if the self-service control is unavailable.
4. Refunds
Payments are non-refundable after a billing period begins, and unused time on monthly or annual plans is not prorated. Exceptions apply where a refund is required by law or where RacerIntel separately approves a remedy for a verified service failure. This policy does not limit mandatory cancellation or refund rights available in your location.
Paddle processes approved refunds to the original payment method. Bank and payment-network timing may affect when the funds appear.
5. Failed payments
A failed renewal receives a 7-day grace period with normal access while Paddle attempts payment recovery. If payment is not recovered, the workspace becomes owner-only and read-only. Updating the payment method or successfully resubscribing can restore normal access, subject to the plan’s current limits.
6. Workspace retention after access ends
- An expired trial is planned to remain owner-accessible and read-only for 30 days before workspace data may be permanently deleted.
- After a paid subscription ends, the workspace is planned to remain owner-only and read-only for 90 days before workspace data may be permanently deleted.
- RacerIntel plans to send paid-retention warnings 30, 7, and 1 day before the scheduled end of the retention window.
- Legally required transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, and audit records may be kept after workspace data is deleted.
Export important information before the retention window ends. Automated permanent deletion is a public-launch gate and will be verified before self-service checkout is enabled.
7. Hibernate
Hibernate is a $10 monthly workspace-retention subscription. It begins at a renewal boundary; an annual subscriber can enter Hibernate after the paid annual term ends. While Hibernate is active, only the Team Owner can sign in, view workspace data, and use allowed exports. Editing, collaboration, AI, and engineering compute are unavailable.
Hibernate may continue while monthly payments succeed and can be canceled like another monthly subscription. A failed Hibernate payment follows the standard grace and paid-retention process. Reactivation uses the current plan pricing and limits, not a previously canceled price.
8. Plan changes and add-ons
Current plan and add-on prices, effective dates, and any immediate charges or credits are shown before confirmation. Downgrading or removing capacity does not delete data. If a workspace exceeds the new limit, RacerIntel may block new or expanding actions until usage is reduced or capacity is restored.
